Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a molecule naturally present in the dermis, joints, cartilage and eye. The body makes about five grams per day for skin tissue renewal.

What are the risks of hyaluronic acid injections?

HA injections are not recommended for people with autoimmune diseases: lupus, Sep, Crohn’s disease…
During a first consultation, the doctor makes a complete diagnosis and ensures that the patient can receive hyaluronic acid injections without risk. The patient is invited to ask any questions he/she deems necessary to the doctor.

The injection is carried out using a micro-needle or a cannula with a foam tip. The injection is not painful because the syringes contain an anesthetic. The appearance of a hematoma is possible. The use of face powder is sufficient to cover the blue.

The effect of the injections is immediate and is visible for 6 to 24 months depending on the areas treated and the patient’s skin quality.

The more regular the treatments, the longer the effect lasts.

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a synthetic molecule used to fill wrinkles. Its density depends on the area to be treated: cheekbones, lips, nasolabial folds. Its action consists in providing volume to the different areas of the face.

How do I know which treatment is best suited?

The first consultation with Dr. Samama is to define your needs. The doctor will analyze your face and take pictures before advising you on the appropriate treatment.

Do I have to be of legal age to start a hyaluronic acid treatment?

We grant adult requests as long as they seem justified to us.
For those under 18 years of age the most commonly performed procedures are medical rhinoplasty and lip volume correction.
We also sometimes restore volume in the cheeks or cheekbones after a slimming diet.

Is there an age limit not to be exceeded for this type of injection?

No only medical contraindications could prevent us from injecting hyaluronic acid.

Are there any precautions to take after HA injection?

After your session of hyaluronic acid injections we advise you to:

  • Massage the treated areas, washing your hands beforehand.
  • Avoid exposure to the sun or intense cold for 7 days after injection.
  • Do not go to the sauna or hammam.
  • Treat any bruises with Arnica.
